This is a gorgeous spindle back Windsor armchair made from beech and elm wood. Famous for their classic style and high quality a Windsor chair is a necessity for any antique collector with hand carved legs, tapered arms and one whole solid piece for the seat carved carefully for the sitter! A perfect piece to add some character to any space. It also has a subtle stamp to the back on the seat ‘AF’ we also have second a similar Windsor chair available separately, please see last image.
Overall in good condition, it’s sturdy and strong. The hoop back has warped over the years showing a slight split giving it a charming character, this does not affect its stability and it is still strong to use.
