Antique Victorian Milners Cast Iron Safe Fire Resistant London Liverpool Safe

This is a stunning example of an antique Milners cast iron safe. The company founded in Liverpool in 1830, the company rapidly grew and ended up with a patented design that was gunpowder-proof and with an unpickable key lock in conjunction with Hobbs & Co. They went onto supplying the titanic with 5 of their Milner patent safes so it is a company rich in history and of the highest quality. 
 
This one in particular is in great working condition with 3 keys one for the main door and 2 for the interior drawers, it also has a removable shelf. Finished in a beautiful aged green and black finish and original painted detailing. A striking and intriguing piece that is both practical and a statement piece for any space. 
 
With numbers T2641 and 551 engraved on the top edge indicates the model and around the time it was manufactured believed to be around late 19th or early 20th century.
 
Overall it’s in great condition and a perfect size to use as a side table to store valuables or in a commercial space for money.
