Antique Victorian Cast Iron Milners of London Safe

Antique Victorian Cast Iron Milners of London Safe

This is a stunning example of an antique Milners cast iron safe. The company founded in Liverpool in 1830, the company rapidly grew and ended up with a patented design that was gunpowder-proof and with an unpickable key lock in conjunction with Hobbs & Co. They went onto supplying the titanic with 5 of their Milner patent safes so it is a company rich in history and of the highest quality.

This one in particular is in great working condition with 3 keys in a lovely muted rusty red colour with a bright and subtle red boarder. With numbers M6681 and 1542 engraved on the top edge indicates the model and around the time it was manufactured believed to be around 1901 as it is a ‘list one’ model just at the end of the Victorian era.

Overall it’s in great condition and a perfect size to use as a side table to store valuables or in a commercial space for money.

Delivery possible upon request.
