Antique Ladies French Boulle Writing Desk Bureau

This is a stunning example of a Victorian era Boulle work Bureaux. It has a beautiful and graceful design sure to make a statement in an elegant space. The outer Boulle work is in excellent order throughout and has has some repairs through the years to the brass work. The front of the Bureaux and is in completely original condition. The piece certainly has great appeal and creates a visually rewarding effect. 
The cabriole legs are dressed with decorative gilt metal castings. The interior is very clean and displays the rosewood. There is a large internal compartment with sliding cover and a fitted interior with three drawers. 
Overall the piece is in good condition its structure is sturdy and strong and good to be used. A fair amount of the brass work has been tacked down at some point and there are repairs and pieces missing throughout so so do check the images carefully, nevertheless it is still a stunning piece with an elegant look. Other wear and tear can be seen from its age an use. The lock and key is working so it’s perfect for storing valuables.
