Antique Joseon Dynasty Bandaji Cabinet Oriental Sideboard Trunk

This is a stunning antique Bandaji chest from the Joseon period somewhere around the late 1800’s. A piece made from zelkova wood (a type of elm) with iron fittings it would’ve been used either to store blankets and pillows or grains, money or books. A versatile piece that is easy to move around with its handles at the sides.
Overall in good condition, three interior drawers have been fitted later which makes in a great piece to store shoes and keys in an entrance way. It has lots of character and is sure to make a statement wherever it sits in the home.
