Antique Chinese Arch Way Oriental doorway altar

This is an absolutely stunning antique handmade Chinese arch way. A gorgeous and real statement piece that I’m sure has a rich history. Presumably from an altar in a Chinese temple or religious building due to the story of the carvings. With mythical creatures seeming to watch over live stock and town homes with an altar scene in the centre top symbolising the significance of the Buddhist culture in China.
It is all hand painted and hand carved you can really see the work and detail that has gone into making this completely unique and beautiful piece.
Overall in great condition, the left top corner has a piece missing but this doesn’t affect the stability of the piece nor does it take away from its grandeur and wow factor. It can be completely dismantled and there are no screw simply wood panels that slot together, a beautiful and simple method used in traditional made Chinese furniture.
