Our company Goat and Chair is ran by me, Nicole, and my partner George. With George running his own removals and clearance company it was natural that we would come across lovely pieces that simply didn't deserve to be thrown away or see amazing pieces in people’s homes. My background is in the arts and after studying Interior Architecture and Design at the Arts University Bournemouth I began working in the interior design industry and I started to see the poor quality and character of a lot of (not all) the modern made furniture I just didn't feel the passion for it. I eventually went travelling around the world and later met George and after seeing some of the items he came across I was in awe of the quality and beauty of vintage and antique furniture.

So our hunt began to find pieces we both loved and the hunt has never ended. Now we have a space where we display all our items and we continue to find the most unique and wondrous pieces that really make people say WOW. Our taste and eye for quality just gets more refined with time and our research into our products keeps us passionate and excited to find more beautiful things. We love that what we do brings people joy, finding that perfect piece to fit in that specific space that you thought you may not find but when you do it is like finding gold. We love that our shop is a way of living sustainably bringing new life and new homes to furniture of all ages and from places all over the world.

We love to see where our pieces end up, from Korea to the Cotswolds our pieces have settled in places we hadn't even heard of before! That's why we love doing what we do we meet amazing people with amazing stories that simply want amazing pieces to fit in their homes and Goat and Chair is here to do just that.
